Public Service Announcements

As part of our schedule we play a PSA at half past every hour. PSAs come from national and local non-profit and charitable organizations, and are subject to the public relations department's PSA policy, which is as follows:

KURE Public Service Announcements are messages intended to inform the public of facts or events that may be beneficial to the common good. As such, all PSAs broadcast on KURE should:

• be relevant to listeners in the immediate KURE broadcast area.
• be non-partisan and secular in its message.
• not promote any company, its products, its message or its websites. Similarly, PSA's promoting trade organizations or their interests are generally discouraged.
• clearly identify the organization sponsoring a particular message or event.
• with the exception of short readers, denote a means of obtaining more information about the message or event in question.
